    Two weeks had gone by of walking with Alfred into school and to first period as well as walking to the busses to leave. You usually didn't say anything other than the usual greetings and just listened to Alfred go on about some teacher or class that was annoying him. Or because of a bad grade he had gotten. You didn't mind listening. You knew that Alfred knew you were listening, something his friends rarely did. You had also began to get over your blushing problem. That is until you had to talk to him. But just listening didn't bother you anymore and that was a great deal of progress. You were packing up at your locker and Alfred slipped in next you you as usual.

    "Man, I really need to pass tomorrows math test" Alfred complained.

    "Why don't you stay after with the teacher then?" You said to the locker. 

    "Dude! She's such a creep and you know it!" Alfred yelled "But I was wondering, are you doing anything after school today?"

    "N-No why?" You turned a deep red. This was also the first time you had stuttered in over a week.

    "Sweet! Wanna stay after with me and study in the library? You're so good at math I was hoping you could help me." He smiled his signature smile.

    You felt your heart skip a beat and you were so paralyzed in shock that you could only manage a small nod before turning your face back to the locker.

    "You're the best ____!" Alfred squealed "Hurry up and lets go!"

    You closed your locker and along with Alfred began to make your way towards the library. Still tomato red and a little dizzy you listened to Alfred ramble on about the topics he needed to study and how your teacher was such a jerk for giving you a test on a Friday.

    Arriving at the library you quickly texted your mom that you wanted to be picked up in an hour and went to join Alfred at a small empty table. You felt you were going to faint being this close to Alfred and leaning in to help him correct his work and instruct him on how to do a problem. 

    An hour later the late bell rang and you could tell Alfred had learned a lot. He was beaming as he got problem after problem correct without assistance. You had learned a lot yourself from seeing the common mistakes Alfred was making. Both of you feeling confident for tomorrows exam you cleaned up your things and headed for the main lobby of the school. Suddenly you felt a wave of confidence come over you. Probably from such a successful study session.

    "Hey Alfred are you taking the bus home?" you asked

    "Yeah? Are you?"

    "No actually, I was wondering….doyouwantmymomtodriveyouhome" You muttered awkwardly immediately wishing you hadn't asked.

    "If you're sure its ok with you're mom" Alfred said. You noticed he turned a light shade of pink as he said that.

    "You don't live far from the school right? Im sure it will be fine" you said quietly to the ground.

    Your mom was already in the parking lot waiting for you and hopping into the car you asked her to drive Alfred home. She readily agreed. It was a silent car ride to Alfred's house other than him giving your mom directions. He only lived five minutes away from the school. When you arrived at Alfred's house he said goodbye to you and thanked your mom then scurried to his large house waving to you both before he went inside.

    "Well isn't he a cutie" your mom giggled

    "Stop it mom" you whined.

    "You liiiiiike him" She teased and nudged you with her elbow

    "I do not!" you protested

    "Whatever you say _____" She said still grinning.
